Buckeye Candy, a Great Homemade Gift for Your Favorite Buckeye Fan

Buckeye Candy

1 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 pound butter

1 T vanilla

1 pound powered sugar

Melted milk chocolate (melt in double boiler to coat above ingredients later)

Cream all ingredients together, except milk chocolate and form into a ball shape (about the size of a quarter).  Place on a baking sheet and and put in the freezer until firm.

Remove from freezer and coat with the melted chocolate.  Use a toothpick or skewer to dip all but the tops so the candy resembles a buckeye.  Place a sheet of wax paper on the baking sheet and cool the buckeyes in the fridge until set.

If giving your buckeyes as a gift, a tin or box that is Ohio State Buckeye themed or simply a red or silver color would be the perfect gift wrap.  Use contrasting ribbon or bows if needed.  Place the candies in small paper candy cups to keep separate inside the box.
