Healthy Snack Ideas for Your Holiday Car Trip

Here is a list of items that will make your car trip this holiday season less expensive and even a little healthier.  You can pick and choose from the ideas we have or as always, make your own list. 

We tend to stop and eat a lot of fast food when traveling because it is just that, fast.  As you pack for your trip, pack a tote of goodies that everyone can snack on.  You will save time and money on the road and by avoiding the fast food, you can have an extra cookie or six when you are at the family gathering.

If you still need to stop for sandwiches or fries, do what you need to do.  However, with these items in tow you may forget about stopping for the fast food fix.

Kashi Granola Bars - Chewy one's for less mess

Blue Diamond All Natural Almonds

Fruit

Cheese - cubed or sliced

Kashi Crackers

Sun Chips

Water - personal reusable bottles for everyone if you already have them and large thermos for refills

Kitchen Dish Towels

Kitchen Wash Cloths - dampened and sealed in a Zip Lock Baggie

Bag for the soiled towels and cloths

Bags for trash
