A Game Called Huckle Buckle Beanstalk
A game that was always so fun as a child was not on a board, did not have to be plugged into a television and costs only the price of the actual object used as what I always called the Huckle Buckle. The Huckle Buckle can be any object about the size of a piece of hardtack candy. My second grade teacher had one that was clear with colored glittery speckles inside it. The one I have used is a little polished stone that is a rust color. Look around your home and you will find just the right object to be your first Huckle Buckle.
The game can be played in many variations, put your own spin on it. While Huckle Buckle Beanstalk is played there is no requirement for quiet and concentration and it does not preclude conversation. Kids and adults will find this game fun and there is certain to be some laughs. It is a great rainy day game to play with the kids inside, you can play outside as well.
Object: To find the Huckle Buckle so you can become the next person to hide it from everyone else.
How to play:
One person is designated to be the person to hide the Huckle Buckle.
The others will be the ones to search for the "treasure".
While the person hiding the object is doing so, the others go to another room or area.
Once it is hidden away, the others come into the room and search for the Huckle Buckle.
Whoever finds it, yells out "Huckle Buckle Beanstalk" and automatically becomes the next designated person to hide.
Repeat until everyone gets a turn to hide, or no one wants to play anymore.
