Free Fun Family Game: A Game Using Pieces Parts of Your Current Game Collections

Do Whatever!

If you are looking for something different to do, try this Free Fun Family Game called Do Whatever!

Games description:  A fun game that will allow you to think, create, practice spelling, practice reading, pronunciation and even grammar.  You do not need each of the items listed in the end of the article to have a complete game set, only those with the * asterisk.  If you do not use the * items there is no penalty.  The dictionary is the only ** = must.

In fact, you will not want all of the items every time you play.  You can change it up depending on the # of people, concentration levels desired, ages, etc.  I have never even used the timer or Pop O' Matic, but ya gotta have them available.  Half the fun of the game is writing the rules before you start your version of the game.  Feel free to use the one below to get you started.

Version:  The host says a word for Player #1 to look up in the dictionary.  Player #1 will read the meaning, spell it and say it and then do the same with the word directly above or below it (players choice).  Player can then attempt to use both words in the same sentence.  Tally the points and Player #1 will say a word for Player #2 to look up and so on.  At a loss for words?  The player whose turn to read will randomly open to a page of the dictionary and select something.  Time limit to read, make sentence, spell, etc.  - reasonable, if that does not work use a timer.

Number of Players 1+ no maximum

Ages:  0-200 - even for those who cannot read yet or can't see well.  Participation can include to sit and listen or talk every now and again or not at all.

Various Objects:
Select to play to a specific amount of points, the winner will attain that number first.
Set a time limit and at the end the person with the most points wins.
Play until everyone is finished.  Everyone wins.  If people quit or dwindle away, they forfeit all points.
Running play, pick up at a later time and date.

Scoring:  tally marks work for the person who is being the scorekeeper.  Scorekeeping is not required.

1 point - spell word correctly before dictionary opens
1 point - make someone laugh with your sentence
