Grand Theft Auto: An Aunt's Review
So my nephew borrowed the game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) from one of his friends. He is 10.75 years old. I laugh as I share the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) story because we have a cool way of playing his video games. Some background, when it is a basketball game I watch as a fan and say random stuff and cheer like I am really at a game. Or, I'll watch him play the occasional car game, sports game, race game or thug game. It really does not matter the game because we make up our own stuff. He took a steering wheel video game accessory into my car recently so we could play tiller truck. When he says turn left, that means I must turn right (in the real car). There is his $100.00 video thing being used as something that does not require it to be plugged in. I think that is cool. We had a blast and drove around two separate times.
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) was no excpetion. I just sat to watch and I saw him doing the same thing, he would steal an ambulance and make the thug go on a call to help someone. He made imaginary hospitals and stuff and then go back to the stealing and running people over. It was disturbing when he was able to go into the hospital on it and shoot patients laying on the beds. It was funny how he was doing it, he was not really thinking he was killing people…then he got killed by the popo…we laughed and laughed.
No, I do not promote this game. The intent of the game, I am not really sure. We did not go into details. I sure hope people do not tron around the country thinking they are playing GTA or even Frogger on the highway (George and Jerry and Larry David). I know we feel bounced around like pinballs many days, but that is just life being life, hopefully no one tilts and really hits hard during your days as a pinball. But do take time to enjoy the little moments during a good Grand Theft Auto game or NBA Live 2K9.
If I had a child, it would be living in a bubble so thank goodness I have not been blessed with a child. I get along with kids though. They are pretty neat people.
