Gee, Your Hair Smells…Terrific

As a writer, this product name has been in the forefront of my mind since the mid 70's when it came out.  How very perfectly named Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific is the best smelling shampoo I have used in my entire life.  Products have to pass the smell test with me and the fragrant flowery yet spicy smell of this potion is so unique that I have found no others to compare.  Yes, it contains SD alcohol and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate but it is the smell I like for my hair.

In the late 80's and early 90's I was able to locate the product at one drugstore in my hometown and found one bottle on a vacation with my friend Chris Maiden-Married Name.  Luckily I had purchased several bottles to get me through before the shock of the store no longer carrying it came around February 1997.  I had enough to get me through special occasions and all the while kept searching online and mail order catalogs until I found it in 2004.  I was so happy and relieved to know that I had another source of my favorite shampoo that I purchased approximately 24 bottles of it and had it shipped to me from the Vermont Country Store.

There are now results when you do an online search for Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific.  I believe my mail order catalog store now has an online storefront and I have seen where they once again have the product available.  When I had purchased the 24 bottles it was all of their inventory and I had not seen it available again until late 2008.  The bottle looks different now, which is sad to me but when I run out of the remaining stockpile,  I will buy it again.  Perhaps I should go online and see how much they have in stock and place an order because I guarantee you, if you try it, you too will just love the way your hair not only smells but feels.  You will be sad if you have to mask the aroma with any other "product" smell.
