New Meaning of a Cheap Date

Dating is hard enough, but when you are trying to find someone when it is possible that there are money problems makes it even worse.  Luckily, I am not dating so date planning is not something that I have to work on right now.  I would think though if I lost a job and was trying to plan a fun cheap date with someone it would be different than the normal minimum $25.00 movie and theater snacks.

In the event I find someone I would like to date, I think it would be fun to plan things that are not the normal date for reasons other than money.  I choose to be simple even when times are not tough.  It would not be much different than how I do things now alone or with someone, with or without money, or with or without a job, I am the same person.  I love a great expensive dinner out at a high end restaurant or a big theater production, but it is not what makes me who I am.  I wanted to share a few of my ideas to help anyone out who may need assistance in coming up with ideas for your fun cheap date.

have a picnic at a table in the park

walk around the mall and people watch from a bench as you talk - if it is a great date…you won't realize anyone else is in the mall

in nice weather, search out free outdoor music or theatrical events

hike

bike

go to the library

play a game of Do Whatever!

sit by the water

nature gaze - birds or sky or critters to name a few
