Juneo de Shadow Can Do Pretty Much…

What She Wants - She is 105 years old this Month -

Shadow is my soon to be, or already the age of 105 in dogs years, fifteen calendar years.  That is an estimate guess from the vet when I got her in December of that year.  So 15 years old and it is a hot day out and I am trying to herd her into the yard to do her business.

Imagine a world where you would have to poop on command.  I do not even like that word but it was the only one I had to make my point.  The point:  Although most dogs lives are very good, pooping on command, not one of the perks.

Shadow mainly does what I ask on command when I need her to, today…not so much.  She had in her mind that she was going to piddle and that is it.  I walked around with her as well as in front of her, asking her to go "down in the yard" like 50 times.  She is just hot and tired and I knew that she was not about to today.  I got her to walk into the shade for a good area but like a puppy, she was already sneaked up to the area in the sun where she would not be responding to me any longer.  She thinks for herself and I admire that about her.  Chances are, when I get home from work I will be praising her for being so good inside!  Happy Birthday Shadow!
