  • Rare Matchbox Moments

    Rare Matchbox Moments
Since he has been a baby, Parker, my nephew has wanted me to play Matchbox cars with him.  We have played in person and even over the phone each for hours at a time.  This past weekend, I experienced a rare Matchbox moment as we were getting set up and I realized that our times of setting up the cars and creating scenarios were most likely not going to last much longer.  He will be a teen soon and may not want to hang out with Aunt Lori.  When he toted in part of his collection when he came to spend the night, I knew we would have fun.  A little while after he was here, he asked if I wanted to get set up (to play Matchbox), of course I did, getting set up is part of the fun.  I get to pick a few cars (after he chooses his) to park at my house.  However, the majority of the vehicles in the Matchbox scenes are ambulances, fire apparatus and police cruisers. • Neighborhood Ball Games: A Free Fun Kids Game

It is springing.  I am not one to say finally because I am not upset with cold dreary winter.  The winter is beautiful also.  I like all weather, just so I am here to know what it is, I am happy.  However, the signs of kids getting outside to get the winter stink blown off of them is refreshing.  The first sighting is that of the used to be baby neighbor kids up the street.  I do not know them but I know who belongs there, at least by vehicle. • Grand Theft Auto: An Aunt's Review

So my nephew borrowed the game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) from one of his friends.  He is 10.75 years old.  I laugh as I share the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) story because we have a cool way of playing his video games.  Some background, when it is a  basketball game I watch as a fan and say random stuff and cheer like I am really at a game.  Or, I'll watch him play the occasional car game, sports game, race game or thug game.  It really does not matter the game because we make up our own stuff.  He took a steering wheel video game accessory into my car recently so we could play tiller truck.  When he says turn left, that means I must turn right (in the real car).  There is his $100.00 video thing being used as something that does not require it to be plugged in.  I think that is cool.  We had a blast and drove around two separate times. • A Game Called Huckle Buckle Beanstalk

A game that was always so fun as a child was not on a board, did not have to be plugged into a television and costs only the price of the actual object used as what I always called the Huckle Buckle.
